Watching the 2012 version of Red Dawn I was struck with the realization that this country is primed for a takeover. From in the inside or the outside but we are primed for it.
The average person according to the last election is more concerned with security rather than freedom.
Mitt Romney stated that 47% of the people would never vote for him. The press derided him and Obama made fun of him. BUT the election proved his point. We have reached a tipping point in this country of the takers outnumbering the makers. DeToqueville said in a nutshell the tipping point we have reached.
“I am deeply convinced that any permanent, regular, administrative system whose aim will be to provide for the needs of the poor, will breed more miseries than it can cure, will deprave the population that it wants to help and comfort, will in time reduce the rich to being no more than the tenant-farmers of the poor, will dry up the sources of savings, will stop the accumulation of capital, will retard the development of trade, will benumb human industry and activity, and will culminate by bringing about a violent revolution in the State, when the number of those who receive alms will have become as large as those who give it, and the indigent, no longer being able to take from the impoverished rich the means of providing for his needs, will find it easier to plunder them of all their property at one stroke than to ask for their help.” – Alexis de Tocqueville,Memoir on Pauperism, 1835
We at this point have a system that has done exactly what he predicted.
46.7% pay no federal income tax according to the tax income center in 2010. That number has undoubtedly risen since then with no improvement in the economy.;
The public is being told that their individualism and entrepreneurship were not of their own doing “you didn’t build that” – Barak Obama.
The public has been told that they belong to the government by those who find it easy to cede their freedom to others “Government is the only thing we all belong to” DNC video at their convention in 2012 stated this clearly as their philosophy and no one at the DNC protested the statement.
The public is told that more government is the only real way to save the economy and that the recovery can only happen on the backs of those who produce with no offset in spending of any kind.
We who actually produce and create commerce without being a burden on the system are becoming an endangered species and at some point the takers will have to resort to confiscation of what we have in order to survive.
I know this is hard to hear but we are in a time in which the parasites have decided to kill the body they live off of via government with an end run on the constitution.
Remember when you heard this statement.
“it takes a village to raise a child” – Hillary Clinton
““If the personal freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution inhibit the government’s ability to govern the people, we should look to limit those guarantees.” — President Bill Clinton
“We can’t be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans to legitimately own handguns and rifles” – Bill Clinton
I don’t care about the constitution when it comes to healthcare”Congressman Phil Hare
I could go on and on but you get the picture
Didn’t each time you heard that quote feel a twinge in your stomach saying “NO, that’s not right!”
The people in 2008 were sold a bill of goods on “hope and change” by an administration that has made it clear they have no intention of preserving the America that you and I know and of what the founders created.
In Red Dawn the protagonists are fighting the Invaders from abroad but we must fight the invaders of our way of life that have come from within and look like us. They do not act like us nor do they have the same values as us but they live among us and are going to be working with all their might against us and our way of life that consists of freedom and the rule of law.
Some will say I am over reacting when I mention such as this to them. But I have to ask you.
Can you actually look me in the face and say that we live in a country where individualism and achievement are looked up to or do we live in a country where the latest oft quoted statement is “barak obama is our god” and at the same time they say that greed is bad when they are working to deprive you and I of our property with all speed in order to sate their wants and desires. They claim need as their right of plunder and that I am my brothers keeper. I am not and neither are you.
I know your asking what in the world does all this have to do with the movie Red Dawn. Well the heros in that movie were fighting those who were subjugating the people with the promise of restoration of a sound economy and getting all their power back. Promised them that the “greed” of capitalism would be taken off their backs. This is the promise of a dictator or tyrant.
When asked what’s wrong with letting local school districts decide how best to spend federal education dollars, President Clinton replied, “because it’s not their money”
I leave you with a quote from the main character in Fountainhead,
“I came here to say that I do not recognize anyone’s right to one minute of my life. Nor to any part of my energy. Nor to any achievement of mine. No matter who makes the claim, how large their number or how great their need.
I wished to come here and say that I am a man who does not exist for others.
It had to be said. The world is perishing from an orgy of self-sacrificing.”
